July September 2026

 

Starting July 19, our summer worship series will be focusing on Six Practices that Grow Faith, exploring ways to express our faith in everyday activities. The Children s Time will focus on Bible stories from The Peace Table: A Storybook Bible, helping children become more familiar with these stories. During the message time, we will be using audio and video recordings to hear from some of our seniors as they talk about their childhood memories of faith, sharing their words of wisdom for all of us today.

Thank you for your financial generosity to Valleyview s programs. Please review your donor giving statements and pledges at the following link:  https://www.valleyviewmc.ca/givingstatement. If you require a paper copy or have difficulty accessing; please let me know.   

 

As you will notice from the weekly updates from the Church Office, donations are running short of our donation s budget target as of June 30th (mid-year) by $28,084 dollars. We ask your prayerful consideration of this need.   

 

Over the summer, the Board of Directors and Church Council will re-evaluate the expenses required for the remainder of the year.   

 

While Valleyview is currently without a full-time or interim Pastor, we continue to require the financial support to run all our programs, provide Worship flexibility to book paid Guest Speakers and support our Pastoral Search activities.

Peace Conference: ​​​​Nourishing Peace Together
Saturday, November 7, Rockway Mennonite Collegiate, Kitchener
If you're hungry for connection, meaning and practical ways to resist despair in a world that feels overwhelming, plan to be at this year's Peace Conference. MCC Ontario is hosting an in‑person event for people who don t have everything figured out but who want to build peace. Attendees will:

        Learn how to practice peace in everyday life

        Hear from courageous people pursuing justice, reconciliation and care in hard places

        Share food, stories and space

        Take action, like knotting comforters and sending advocacy letters, to remind us we re not powerless

Scent-Free Zone: Severe Scent Allergy

Valleyview is a scent-free zone as many participants have strong reactions to scented products. Please refrain from using all scented products: cologne, perfume, hairspray, hand and body lotion.

Some members in attendance experience serious peanut allergy. Please refrain from bringing, eating, or serving any food labelled as containing peanuts or with warning May contain peanuts .
